Job summary

Central Texas College in Killeen, TX, seeks a Part‑Time Automotive Lab Assistant to support the Automotive Instructor with class and lab activities, assist students individually, and help ensure the instructional programs in the Automotive Department reflect current technology.

The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma or GED with automotive field experience or an AAS/certificate, and knowledge of shop safety, tools, welding, and hazardous materials handling.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED and automotive field experience or an AAS/certificate in Automotive.
• Knowledge of automotive service and repair, shop operations, safety, OSHA requirements, and hazardous material disposal.
• Able to use welding and cutting equipment and to explain enrollment procedures and course content to students.

Responsibilities

• Assist Automotive Instructor with classes and lab activities in a professional manner.

• Respond to inquiries by phone and communicate information clearly to callers.
