Job summary

Tata Technologies in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a CAD Engineer specializing in Knowledge-Based Engineering for interior systems to design and validate advanced automotive components. You will build parametric models in Siemens NX and CATIA, develop KBE-based templates, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet styling and manufacturing requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of Siemens NX or CATIA CAD software.
• Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
• Understanding of engineering design principles and vehicle development processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain parametric CAD models using Siemens NX and KBE templates.
• Develop interior system designs that meet styling, packaging, manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with Studio, Packaging, Production, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Develop and update CAD templates as standards evolve.
• Perform associative parametric modeling and robust model creation.
• Lead design review meetings with stakeholders and communicate technical solutions.
• Identify, track, and resolve design and packaging issues.
• Support vehicle packaging studies and system integration activities.
• Transfer completed designs to execution and release teams.
