Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Studio, Packaging, Production, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Develop and update CAD templates as standards evolve.
• Perform associative parametric modeling and robust model creation.
• Lead design review meetings with stakeholders and communicate technical solutions.
• Identify, track, and resolve design and packaging issues.
• Support vehicle packaging studies and system integration activities.
• Transfer completed designs to execution and release teams.

We are seeking a CAD Engineer - Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE) – Interior Systems to support the development of advanced automotive interior components through Siemens NX/CATIA modeling, parametric design, and Knowledge-Based Engineering (KBE) methodologies. This role will focus on Interior commodities including Hard Trim, Soft Trim, Headliners, Restraints, and Airbag systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain parametric CAD models using Siemens NX and KBE template modeling techniques.
• Develop Interior system designs that meet styling, packaging, manufacturing, and engineering requirements.
• Collaborate with Studio, Packaging, Production, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Develop, maintain, and update CAD templates as standards evolve.
• Perform associative parametric modeling and robust model creation.
• Lead design review meetings with stakeholders and communicate technical solutions.
• Identify, track, and resolve design and packaging issues.
• Support vehicle packaging studies and system integration activities.
• Transfer completed designs to execution and release teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of Siemens NX or CATIA CAD software.
• Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
• Understanding of engineering design principles and vehicle development processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
• Hard Trim
• Soft Trim
• Headliners
• Restraints
• 1-5 years of NX/CATIA parametric modeling experience.
• Experience with robust modeling techniques in Siemens NX.
• Experience with vehicle packaging or system integration.
• Familiarity with Knowledge-Based Engineering (KBE) methodologies.
• Experience using Siemens Teamcenter in an automotive environment.
