Job summary

Colonial Group in Bath, ME is seeking an Installation Technician to perform tire services, oil changes, and under-hood maintenance while ensuring safety and quality. You will follow VIP processes and complete required certifications to uphold service standards.

You will work a standard 40-hour week in a busy shop, coordinating with the Service Manager and team to deliver dependable automotive care and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions and procedures.
• Explain vehicle information clearly to customers.
• Diagnose and recommend automotive service solutions.
• Understand and apply written or diagrammed instructions.
• Capability to perform the listed automotive services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain workplace safety as a top priority and report hazards.
• Provide tire, oil, under-hood, MPI, wheel alignment, and preventive maintenance services.
• Initiate and display a valid Service Work Order before service.
• Complete MPI and participate in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process.
• Return unused parts and ensure proper handling of cores and waste.
• Maintain 50% productivity over 16 weeks and follow quality policies.
• Attend required training and stay ASE certified as applicable.
• Road test vehicles when needed and ensure safe operation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and tools.
