Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is a leading engineering partner delivering technology solutions across aerospace, medical devices, automotive, and more. We seek a Resident Engineer to serve at a key OEM site, bridging customer needs with our internal engineering, sales, and program teams.

The ideal candidate has experience in plastics injection molding and/or automotive manufacturing, with strong design, tooling, and program-management skills, plus excellent communication with OEMs and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience in plastics injection molding and/or automotive manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of part design, tooling, molding processes, quality, and program management.
• Five-plus years of relevant engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the primary product design engineering interface between our company and the OEM.
• Support quoting, new business development, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Support product and process development from concept through production launch.
• Maintain strong day-to-day customer relationships.
• Coordinate design reviews, tooling, mold trials, and engineering changes.
• Troubleshooting molding, tooling, dimensional, and quality issues.
• Work closely with OEM engineering, purchasing, quality, and program teams.
