Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years in an industrial mechanical environment.
• Experience managing engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, processes, and tooling.
• Experience with tooling design, development, and validation.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage budgets.
• Able to interpret specifications and translate into practical solutions.
• Experience with suppliers/subcontractors in technical projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Hands-on, ownership‑driven with attention to detail.
• Experience with aeronautical tooling is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of quality, safety, and compliance requirements in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for tooling projects from design review through qualification and closure.
• Analyze requirements and customer needs to develop robust tooling solutions.
• Lead project planning including scope definition, resources, scheduling, risk assessment, and organization.
• Manage tooling projects from initiation to delivery within budget and timelines.
• Ensure tooling solutions meet mechanical, dimensional, functional, and performance specs.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams and liaise with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, engineering, and operations.
• Monitor project performance with dashboards and KPIs; take corrective actions.
• Oversee budgets, cost estimates, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Negotiate technical proposals and tenders during pre‑sales activities.
• Develop and validate tooling acceptance procedures and documentation.
• Identify risks and drive engineering solutions to mitigate challenges.
• Support design improvements and innovative tooling concepts.
• Build strong customer relationships during technical discussions.
