Job Description

About The Role:

The General Service Technician is a full-time or part-time hourly position responsible for basic vehicle repair and maintenance services, delivering exceptional customer service by effectively communicating vehicle issues and solutions.

Salary Range:

$16.00 per hour, with additional incentives and compensation opportunities.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform vehicle services and repairs efficiently according to standards.
2. Conduct tire services including removal, balancing, patching, mounting, and TPMS repairs.
3. Carry out vehicle services such as oil changes, lubrication, and basic maintenance.
4. Complete Courtesy Inspections, identifying additional services needed.
5. Assist with inventory management and store duties, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
6. Operate and maintain equipment safely, adhering to safety standards and policies.
7. Test drive vehicles following company policies, observing safety laws.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Automotive training or experience in basic car maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate customer vehicles.
• Own basic tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Work is performed in an automotive shop environment with exposure to noise, weather, chemicals, and physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
