Job summary

Asbury Automotive Group in Irving, TX is seeking a General Accountant to support financial operations across our dealership network. You will ensure accuracy in postings and assist in aligning entries with company policy and procedures.

Duties include posting daily bank activity, reconciling floorplans and lender payments, reviewing repair orders and invoices, and assisting with special projects to support the mission of Asbury.

Qualifications

• Prior automotive experience desired.
• Minimum of 2 years in a staff accounting role.
• AS/BA/BS in Accounting desired.

Responsibilities

• Review, code and post daily bank activity including lender funding notices associated with vehicle sales.
• Review system error Repair Orders and Parts Invoices to ensure proper posting.
• Post and reconcile all schedule maintenance items as requested.
• Reconcile Floorplan accuracy to ensure models are floored or paid off in the allotted time.
• Reconcile lender finance reserve payments and related statements.
• Reconcile Retail Delivery Report (RDR) monthly.
• Post Manufacturer Payments related to Floorplan, Advertising, Incentives and Factory bonuses.
• Purify receivable accounts after manufacturer payments; notify Accounting Manager after, when needed.
• Assist in special projects individually or within a team.
