Job summary

Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is seeking an experienced General Accountant to support accounting posting and balance sheet clearance for all U.S. stores. The role requires month-end close activities and strong Excel/CDK proficiency.

Responsibilities include reconciling factory and floorplan accounts, posting daily banking activity, and maintaining balance sheet schedules across multiple dealerships.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
Proficient in Outlook and Excel.
Experience in dealership accounting is a plus.
CDK experience is a plus.
Ability to work extended hours at month-end.

Responsibilities

Review Activation queue daily to ensure active products and correct accounting.
Perform factory reconciliations at month-end.
Perform floorplan reconciliations at month-end.
Post daily banking activity for all assigned dealerships.
Post finance/insurance statements and invoices.
Complete reserve statements by monthly due date and note line items.
