Job summary

Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is seeking a General Accountant to join our team in the United States. The role focuses on posting and balance sheet clearance for all Group 1 stores across the U.S. and requires handling month-end closings and reconciling multiple statements with accuracy.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, proficiency in Excel/Outlook, and ideally dealership accounting experience. CDK experience is a plus, and extended hours at month-end are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Prior dealership accounting experience is a plus.
• Experience using CDK is a plus.
• Must be able to work extended hours at month-end.

Responsibilities

• Review tasks in activation queue and ensure accuracy of active items.
• Perform factory and floorplan reconciliations at month-end.
• Post daily banking activity for multiple dealerships.
• Process vendor invoices and statements from manufacturers and lenders.
• Maintain balance sheet schedules and review repair orders and loaner queues.
• Complete monthly reserve statements and manage month-end schedules.
