Job summary

Dorleco in Michigan is seeking an automotive Functional Safety engineer to deliver Safety work products such as HARA and FTA, and to support safety analyses for new software features. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and ensure traceability across the development lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on use of MagicDraw, SysML, MBSE and GitHub for collaboration and evidence-based safety justification.

Qualifications

Functional Safety engineering experience for automotive embedded systems.
Knowledge of ISO 26262 work-products, including HARA and FTA.
Hands-on with MagicDraw, SysML, MBSE and GitHub collaboration.
Ability to work with feature systems, software, validation and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Deliver Functional Safety work products including HARA, FTA and related safety engineering deliverables.
Support impact analyses for assigned SW features and ensure safety implications are captured clearly.
Collaborate with Feature Systems Engineers and Systems Simulation & Robustness Engineers to develop or merge Gherkin scenarios for safety and technical requirements.
Support requirement refinement, traceability and technical alignment across the feature development lifecycle.
Contribute to reviews and closure of Functional Safety actions with clear evidence and rationale.
