Job summary

Dorle Controls LLC in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Functional Safety Engineer to deliver safety work products and support ISO 26262 processes across automotive embedded systems.

You will collaborate with feature systems engineers and MBSE specialists to refine requirements, manage traceability, and ensure safety implications are captured in design and verification.

Experience with HARA, FTA, SysML, MagicDraw and GitHub-based collaboration is required.

Qualifications

• Automotive embedded systems experience in Functional Safety.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 work products (HARA, FTA).
• Experience with MBSE tools and collaborative workflows (MagicDraw, GitHub).

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Safety work products including HARA, FTA and related safety engineering deliverables.
• Support impact analyses for assigned SW features and ensure safety implications are captured clearly.
• Collaborate with Feature Systems Engineers and Systems Simulation & Robustness Engineers to develop or merge Gherkin scenarios for safety and technical requirements.
• Support requirement refinement, traceability and technical alignment across the feature development lifecycle.
• Contribute to reviews and closure of Functional Safety actions with clear evidence and rationale.
