Job summary

PACCAR Electronics seeks a Functional Safety Engineer in Lewisville, TX to develop and maintain safety work products per ISO 26262. You will work with systems, software, hardware, and supplier teams to ensure safety requirements are defined and tested.

Responsibilities include analyses, development of FSC and TSC concepts, and maintenance of FS procedures, with travel up to 10% including international assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years in automotive or safety-critical industries.
• Experience drafting or reviewing engineering requirements.
• Basic understanding of ISO 26262 concepts and work products.
• Experience using IBM DNG/DOORS Next or similar tools.
• Strong analytic, writing, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Functional Safety work products per ISO 26262.
• Analyze impacts of specifications and design changes.
• Support Technical Safety Concepts and safety requirements.
• Create, review, and maintain FS procedures and templates.
• Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, test and supplier teams.
• Use DNG/DOORS Next to manage FS artifacts and requirements.
• Participate in FS reviews and technical discussions.
