Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Customer Service Specialist for our Automotive Finishes branch. You will work with customers to determine needs, answer questions, and recommend solutions while processing orders and handling deliveries.

This full-time position runs Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with responsibilities including POS transactions, inventory control, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace. Prior customer service or retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• . Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• . Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• . Must have a valid, unrestricted drivers license.
• . Lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
• . Willing to work all scheduled hours.
• . At least 1 year of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales.

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
• Load and unload products from deliveries.
• Operate all material handling, tinting, mixing and testing equipment safely.
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting products and services.
• Process sales transactions in the POS accurately and consistently with policies and procedures.
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Ensure stockroom is organized and assist with inventory reviews.
• Complete Monthly and Quarterly Safety Training and assist with semi-annual Physical Inventory.
• Assist in promoting sales specials and initiatives.
• Keyholder duties may include opening/closing procedures and nightly deposits.
