Job summary

MarketSource is seeking an Automotive Technical Advisor to serve as a direct liaison between dealerships and the OEM in an assigned program, with a focus on buyback reductions and repeat repairs. You will analyze shop processes, provide on-site technical support, and drive improvements for customer retention and loyalty.

This role requires up-to-date fixed operations knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel to dealerships within a designated area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Master Technician Certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
• 2+ years automotive experience required.
• Dealership fixed operations experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and fixed operations consultancy to dealer service personnel, fleet, and commercial customers.
• Lead dealer service personnel to higher service and parts performance aligned with direction.
• Resolve current issues to improve competitiveness, retention, and loyalty.
• Analyze repair shop processes and plan proactive customer-focused improvements.
• Manage STAR escalations for high buyback risk vehicles identified in SalesForce.
• Provide in-dealership technical assistance and dealership consultation on documentation and services.
• Represent OEM as a subject matter expert and handle CAIR updates as directed.
• Support C.A.G./engineering with on-ground requests and recall follow-ups.
