Job summary

Southpoint Honda in Durham, NC, part of Hudson Automotive Group, is seeking Express Technicians to join a high-volume service team.

Earn $17-$20 per hour plus bonuses, with a proven career pathway and hands-on training. This on-site role offers a climate-controlled facility, paid time off from day one, and ongoing employer-funded training.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to dealership standards, and clear communication with customers and service advisors.

Qualifications

• Prior Express/Maintenance Experience Preferred.
• Manufacturer experience preferred.
• Customer-focused, self-motivated and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional needed services and timing estimates.
• Assist with warranty repairs per manufacturer specifications and coordinate with Parts.

What are the responsibilities for an Automotive Technician with Hudson Automotive?

• Technicians perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with quality and dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications and communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.

• Prior Express/Maintenance Experience Preferred
• Manufacturer experience preferred
• Customer focused professional who is self-motivated, competitive and coachable.
