Position Type: Permanent

Full Time/Part Time: Full Time

Salary: $17.21 to $18.93 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Location: Central Area/Cocoa. Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This role involves performing experienced service work operating light automotive vehicles or equipment and performing routine automotive service and maintenance.

Requirements

• Six (6) months of experience operating and maintaining light automotive vehicles and/or equipment, including 5-yard dump trucks, pick-up trucks, step vans, jeeps, panel trucks, hydraulic/slope tractor mowers, sweepers, forklifts, flatbed trucks, compactors, small rollers, and/or other similar public works vehicles and equipment used to maintain roads, drainage, sidewalks, and landscaping.
• Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
• Special Requirements: Must possess, or obtain within nine (9) months of employment, a valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's license and maintain said license during employment.
• This is heavy physical work involving exposure to dirt, dust, noise, moving machinery, working in and around traffic, and extreme weather conditions.
• In case of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster, employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
