Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies seeks a seasoned EMC Test Technician to support component and module-level EMC/EMI validation for automotive electronic systems. The role requires 3–7 years of bench-level EMC testing experience in the automotive sector and deep fluency in ISO 11452, ISO 7637, and OEM specifications across major manufacturers.

This is a pure individual contributor role with high ownership and hands-on impact in a lab setting, focusing on emissions, immunity, and equipment

Qualifications

3–7 years of bench-level EMC testing experience in automotive environments.
Deep knowledge of ISO 11452, ISO 7637, and OEM-specific test specs.
Equivalent experience from Aerospace/Defense/Consumer electronics with OEM fluency is acceptable.

Responsibilities

Set up, configure, and operate EMC test equipment for component and module-level testing per automotive standards.
Execute radiated and conducted emissions tests per CISPR 25 and OEM specs.
Perform RI, BCI, DPI, and conducted immunity tests per ISO 11452 series.
Execute ISO 7637‑2, ISO 16750‑2 transient pulse tests per OEM library.
Perform ESD testing per ISO 10605 and IEC 61000‑4‑2.
Configure LISN, probes, CDN networks, and antenna systems.
