Atlanta Technical College seeks an experienced Adjunct Instructor for Automotive Diesel to teach in the Industrial and Transportation Technology department at the Main campus, just south of Downtown Atlanta. The role is temporary, up to twenty-nine hours per week, with course-based compensation and per-term scheduling.

Applicants must hold a post-secondary diploma in Automotive or Diesel technology, ASE certification, and at least two years of related work experience.

Qualifications

  • Must hold ASE certification in Diesel Technology.
  • Post-secondary diploma in Automotive or Diesel Technology.
  • Experience working with heavy equipment and diesel systems.
  • Two years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review program and syllabi, goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate and review student progress in attaining goals and objectives.
  • Provide instruction, guidance and counseling to students.
  • Attend staff development training and conferences.
  • Assist with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts.
  • Maintain safety in the training area and equipment.
