Hutch Auto Group in Paintsville, KY is seeking an experienced Automotive Dealership Comptroller to own the accounting operations for the auto group. Base salary ranges from $90,000 to $125,000 plus a performance-based bonus, reflecting experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with dealership accounting and financial statements.
• Proficient in month-end close and manufacturer reporting.
• Strong knowledge of inventory, floorplan, parts, service and F&I accounting.
• Ability to lead and develop the accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Direct all dealership accounting and financial operations for the auto group.
• Own the month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare, review, and analyze dealership financial statements.
• Manage manufacturer financial statement submissions.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.
• Manage vehicle inventory and floorplan accounting.
• Reconcile dealership accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor working capital and cash flow.
• Maintain strong accounting controls and procedures.
• Coordinate manufacturer, audit, tax, and outside accounting requirements.
• Lead, train, and develop the accounting team.
• Partner with the GM and ownership on financial performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and profitability.

Hutch Automotive Group in Paintsville, KY is looking for an experienced Automotive Dealership Comptroller who knows dealership accounting, understands the financial statement, and is ready to take ownership of the entire accounting operation.

If you're currently an automotive dealership Comptroller or senior dealership accounting professional in Pikeville, Prestonsburg, Ashland, Huntington, Lexington, or the surrounding Eastern Kentucky/West Virginia market, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

We're offering $90,000 – $125,000 in base salary, plus performance-based bonus potential, depending on experience and qualifications.

Your Responsibilities:

We're Looking for Someone Who:

• Understands dealership financial statements inside and out
• Can independently manage a dealership accounting department
• Has strong experience with month-end close and manufacturer reporting
• Understands floorplan, inventory, parts, service, F&I, and variable operations accounting
• Is comfortable communicating financial information to ownership and management
• Can lead an accounting team while remaining hands-on when necessary
• Takes accuracy, confidentiality, and accountability seriously

Experience with AutoSoft, DealerTrack DMS, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or other dealership accounting/DMS systems is also highly valued.

Base Salary: $90,000 – $125,000 + performance-based bonus opportunity
