Job summary
Actalent is seeking a Controls Engineer for a permanently onsite role in Kansas City, MO. The position focuses on optimizing automated manufacturing systems, PLC data analysis, and robust troubleshooting to improve throughput, quality, and safety.
Collaboration with maintenance, production, and vendors is essential for new equipment launches and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 2 years of experience, with strong PLC, HMI, and vision
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Controls Engineer or Maintenance Technician.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize machine performance using PLC data to improve throughput, quality, and reliability.
- Lead root cause analysis for equipment and process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Interface with automation vendors to support new equipment launches and upgrades.
- Develop preventive maintenance programs with plant management to improve uptime.
- Mentor maintenance technicians to strengthen controls capabilities.
