Job summary

MD Electronics Corporation in Southfield, MI seeks a Contract Specialist to manage drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of contracts, ensuring compliance with policies and legal standards. You will support procurement, vendor relations and business initiatives while safeguarding the company’s legal interests.

The role requires a law-related degree, automotive industry experience and strong negotiation skills. Fluency in English is essential; Spanish or German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in law, business law or the like.
• Experience in automotive industry surroundings is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Fluency in English; Spanish and/or German a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft contracts including employment and non-compete agreements.
• Draft and review contracts, correspondence and related documents for compliance.
• Analyze and negotiate terms and conditions and quality documents.
• Serve as liaison to German HQ, insurers, brokers, and authorities.
• Advise US/MX CEO and QM/sales teams on contract matters.
• Monitor new laws affecting the business and summarize impacts.
• Assist in updating contracts to reflect regulatory changes.
• Support litigation, mediation, arbitration, and responses to complaints.
• Renew and maintain company licensing; prepare entity documents.
• Create and distribute annual reports.
