Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive collision estimating, including vehicle damage assessment and preparation of detailed repair estimates.
  • Proficiency with collision estimating software (e.g., CCC, Mitchell, Audatex) and familiarity with insurance claim processes.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills for working with customers, insurance representatives, and internal teams.
  • Solid understanding of auto body repair methods, parts, labor operations, and safety standards within the collision industry.
  • Ability to interpret repair manuals, OEM procedures, and industry guidelines to support accurate and safe repair planning.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates and jobs simultaneously.
  • Basic computer skills, including use of email, spreadsheets, and digital documentation tools.
  • Previous experience in an auto body or collision repair environment is preferred; I-CAR or related certifications are a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate a variety of vehicles on-site.

Role Description

The Automotive Collision Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Lancaster County, PA. This role is responsible for inspecting vehicles with collision damage, documenting visible and hidden damage, and preparing accurate repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software. The estimator will communicate directly with customers to explain repair plans, timelines, and costs, while also coordinating with insurance providers to ensure claims are processed efficiently and correctly. Daily responsibilities include working closely with technicians to confirm repair details, updating estimates as needed, and maintaining detailed records for each job.
