Hourly base pay rate is $19.57 - $29.38/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

We’re hiring an Automotive Claims Specialist II to join our vehicle operations team at Cox Automotive. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of resolving customer concerns in the fast-paced world of vehicle purchases. You’ll research claims, assess repair costs, and skillfully negotiate adjustments.

What You’ll Do

You’ll navigate buyer-seller interactions, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to orchestrate vehicle returns for inspections. More details include:

  • Review customer claims to verify compliance with Manheim's policies and guidelines.
  • Investigate complex cases with less frequent involvement from senior staff, including fraud, mechanical, structural, or history claims.
  • Interface with all departments involved in complaints, including during fact-finding and investigation phases.
  • Use resources to investigate, document, and communicate to move cases toward resolution.
  • Use financial approval authority levels to resolve cases.
  • Evaluate claims by obtaining, comparing, and validating information.
  • Communicate for resolution via phone, email, and in person.
  • Mediates disputes and negotiates repairs/pricing to reach mutually acceptable solutions.
  • Maintain accurate files and documentation for arbitration cases.
  • Engage with supervisors to determine if escalation is needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

You value accuracy and have a keen eye for detail. Additional qualifications include:

Minimum:

  • High school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in claims management, investigation, or conflict resolution, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of automotive, mechanical, or body shop experience.
