Pay Philosophy

The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. The full salary range reflects the competitive market value across the nation and offers opportunities for growth within the role. Some roles may include commission and/or bonus earnings based on specific compensation plans.

Personal Lines Casualty Complex is hiring a Senior Claims Resolution Specialist for the Northeast Region, handling auto and homeowner’s casualty claims. Responsibilities include investigation, evaluation, and disposition of cases, including high-exposure or complex coverage issues. The role operates autonomously within authority limits and involves managing claims with severe injuries.

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $2,500 after 90 days, for external candidates with an active All-Lines Adjuster license in Florida or Texas (license verification and CE completion required).

Preference for candidates residing within Eastern or Central Time Zones.

In-office attendance is required twice a month if within 50 miles of a Hub location.

Training is essential for success, requiring reliable attendance and active engagement.

Your background will be evaluated against the skills and experiences required, and the posted salary range reflects regional pay scales.

We are considering candidates for three positions based on experience:

  • Senior Claims Resolution Specialist II (with 1.5 days of flexible time off per month, up to 15 days/year)
  • Senior Claims Resolution Specialist III (with 2 days of flexible time off per month, up to 20 days/year)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, investigate, and resolve auto and homeowner’s casualty claims, including coverage, liability, damages, and settlement within authority limits. Refer cases exceeding authority to management.
  • Identify suspicious claims and refer to SIU; seek subrogation opportunities.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, hearings, and conferences; report on case status.
  • Coordinate with trial counsel and prepare reports.
  • Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants; gather information and advise on actions.
  • Respond to inquiries and manage reserves, recommending increases as needed.
  • Ensure security of financial and claim information.
  • Manage practices and billing of outside/in-house counsel.
  • Potentially represent the company in regulatory matters or mentor others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years litigation experience
  • Expertise in handling complex personal lines claims involving severe injuries or fatalities

Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of coverage, liability, and complex claims procedures.
  • Ability to handle high-complexity claims effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and claims operations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus at least 7 years of related experience.
  • Ability to obtain necessary licensing.
