Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Cashier at Oak Lawn Honda to handle customer transactions and payments in a fast-paced setting.

You will calculate bills, receive cash and card payments, issue receipts, and keep accurate totals while maintaining a professional appearance. The position offers a starting pay of $17.00 per hour and a Monday–Friday schedule with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Cashier experience, automotive dealership experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Professional appearance.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations.
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy.

Responsibilities

• Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system.
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers.
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers.
• Ascertain and record totals of counter tickets and repair orders, sales deposits and verify against all cash, checks and credit card payments on hand at end of shift.
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer complaining customers to the appropriate individual for resolution.
• Able to work a flexible work schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
