Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking a courteous Cashier for Napleton Auto Park of Urbana. You will handle customer transactions, process payments, and issue receipts to ensure a smooth showroom experience.

Experience in a cashier role, ideally in an automotive dealership, is preferred. We offer competitive hourly pay, benefits, training, and opportunities for growth within a family-owned company.

Qualifications

• Cashier experience; automotive dealership experience is a plus
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional appearance
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with policy

Responsibilities

• Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers
• Record totals of counter tickets and repair orders; verify against payments at end of shift
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer to the appropriate person for resolution
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Responsibilities:

• Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers

• Ascertain and record totals of counter tickets and repair orders, sales deposits and verify against all cash, checks and credit card payments on hand at end of shift
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer complaining customers to the appropriate individual for resolution
• Able to work a flexible work schedule, including some weekends and holidays
• Other duties as assigned by management
