Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is looking for a friendly, accurate Cashier to support our Napleton Auto Park of Urbana location. You will handle customer transactions, calculate bills and process payments to ensure a smooth customer experience.

This on-site role offers full-time hours with weekend availability and an attractive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k, paid vacation and training opportunities. Prior automotive dealership cash handling is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior cashier experience at an auto dealership is a plus.
• Good reading and comprehension of instructions.

Responsibilities

• Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers
• Ascertain and record totals of counter tickets and repair orders
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer to appropriate staff
• Work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Responsibilities:

• Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers
• Ascertain and record totals of counter tickets and repair orders, sales deposits and verify against all cash, checks and credit card payments on hand at end of shift
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer complaining customers to the appropriate individual for resolution
• Able to work a flexible work schedule, including some weekends and holidays
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Cashier experience, automotive dealership experience is a plus
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional appearance
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
