Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking an experienced Buyer to support supplier development for automotive components at our Ohio client. The role emphasizes supplier evaluation, negotiation, and ensuring on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.

You will research and select suppliers, develop purchasing strategies, and maintain key supplier relationships to meet cost targets and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Purchasing, Sales, Quality Control, or Engineering.
• Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, and purchase automotive components for new model trials.
• Select suppliers to ensure quality, cost competitiveness and on-time delivery.
• Maintain communications with suppliers regarding design changes.
• Issue supplier documents – contracts, forecasts, RFQs and related letters.
• Develop purchasing strategies for assigned commodities and suppliers.
• Achieve cost targets through supplier selection and negotiation.
• Maintain supplier relationships and document control.
