Job summary

Voltava, a premier automotive contract manufacturing company, is seeking a Buyer to manage customer-directed suppliers and components across key automotive commodities in Michigan. This role coordinates PO activity, pricing, tooling and supplier agreements to ensure on-time delivery and cost targets.

You will partner with customers, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to support launches, changes, and program requirements, driving supplier performance and cost improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in automotive purchasing, supply chain, or supplier management.
• Experience with purchase orders, supplier pricing, and ERP documentation.
• Experience supporting automotive launches or engineering changes.
• Strong understanding of purchasing and supplier management in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities for assigned suppliers and PO tasks.
• Coordinate pricing, tooling orders, supplier agreements, and records.
• Maintain approved pricing and program requirements with customers/suppliers.
• Review quotations to identify gaps, risks, and resolutions.
• Support new product launches with timing, tooling, and production needs.
• Coordinate change-related supplier communications and quotes.
• Resolve pricing, invoicing, delivery, and quantity issues with suppliers.
