Job summary

Strama-MPS U.S. Inc. is expanding its North American presence and seeks an experienced Automotive Business Development Manager in the U.S.

Midwest region. You will focus on identifying target customers, prioritizing accounts, and converting market potential into qualified opportunities through a structured development process. You will build relationships with OEMs and Tier suppliers, collaborate with global experts, and manage CRM data across Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365.

Qualifications

  • Several years of successful experience in business development or strategic sales within automotive manufacturing.
  • Strong network within North American OEMs and Tier suppliers.
  • Solid understanding of automotive manufacturing organizations, investment processes and production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the North American automotive manufacturing market and evaluate OEMs and Tier suppliers based on their potential for Strama-MPS.
  • Define and prioritize strategic target accounts based on customer potential, investment activity and strategic fit.
  • Develop and execute structured account development plans with clear objectives and actions.
  • Identify customer investment programs, manufacturing initiatives and new business opportunities at an early stage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within automotive OEMs and Tier suppliers.
  • Convert market potential into qualified business opportunities through a structured development and qualification process.
  • Collaborate with Account Management, Sales Engineering, Marketing and global experts throughout the business development and sales process.
  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity data in Microsoft-based CRM and business systems.
  • Prepare market analyses, account plans, pipeline updates and management reports.
  • Represent Strama-MPS at customer meetings, trade shows, conferences and industry events.

To support our North American growth strategy, we are looking for an experienced Automotive Business Development Manager. The role focuses on identifying and prioritizing target customers, building strategic relationships, and converting market potential into qualified business opportunities.

The Following Responsibilities Will Be Part of Your Role:

Your Skills!

  • Several years of successful experience in business development, strategic sales or market development within automotive manufacturing
  • A strong existing network within North American automotive OEMs and Tier suppliers
  • Solid understanding of automotive manufacturing organizations, investment processes and production environments
  • Experience in special-purpose machinery, industrial automation, production systems or manufacturing equipment
  • A clear hunter mentality combined with a structured, analytical and strategic approach
  • Proven ability to identify, develop and qualify complex business opportunities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, networking and relationship-building skills
  • High degree of initiative, ownership, accountability and self-motivation
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and business applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Industrial Management, Manufacturing or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30–50% throughout North America
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
