Job summary

HTC Global Services seeks a Product Engineer – Automotive Body & Exterior Systems to lead design, development, validation, and release across the full product lifecycle. You will work with cross-functional teams, drive robust engineering practices, ensure regulatory and manufacturing compliance, and support vehicle launches onsite in Michigan.

The role emphasizes weight, cost, quality improvements and collaboration with STA, suppliers, and studio teams to deliver high-quality exterior components

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of automotive body/exterior systems development experience.
• Experience with CAD design and automotive component development.
• Experience with Teamcenter, AVBOM/FEDE BOM, WERS, and related tooling.
• Experience designing/releasing parts through product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, and release automotive body and exterior components.
• Meet program cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets using Waterfall.
• Develop engineering plans and meet program requirements with GPDS.
• Apply robustness engineering and FMEA methodologies to development.
• Support vehicle launches at assembly plants and travel as needed.
