Job summary

Pugmire Ford of Cartersville is seeking an Automotive Billing Clerk to join the Accounting Department. The role focuses on processing contracts, ensuring paperwork accuracy, and posting deals to the books in a fast-paced team environment.

Full-time, Monday–Friday days. Compensation is $18–$22 per hour, depending on experience, with a benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in a busy office environment.
• Automotive accounting or Dealertrack experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, open-office environment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete all pre-employment screening requirements, including a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Examine contracts to ensure all requirements are met.
• Review deal jackets and verify paperwork complies with guidelines.
• Confirm that all documents are signed and completed accurately.
• Process paperwork accurately and within deadlines.
• Reconcile accounting schedules.
• Post new and used vehicle deals to the accounting books.
• Prepare lien-payoff checks and submit payments to financial institutions.
• Communicate with the Office Manager to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Post necessary corrections daily; maintain urgency for time-sensitive tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
