Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a developer to design, integrate, and validate high-performance automotive audio tuners and controllers for current and future vehicles. You will work with hardware, software, and supplier teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal audio system performance.

The role requires experience with CAN-based architectures, audio signal processing, and Python-based analysis. Hybrid onsite work arrangement is expected in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1+ year of experience in development, implementation, and maintenance of automotive audio amplifiers.
• 1+ year of experience with product development methodologies, including Agile, and tools like Jira and Confluence.
• 1+ year of experience in integrating amplifiers into vehicle systems including CAN/A2B protocols and tools (CANoe).
• 1+ year of experience using simulation/analysis tools for amplifier development including Python; solid understanding of audio signal processing and acoustic measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Specification, design, development, and validation of high-performance audio tuners and controllers (AM, FM, HD, SiriusXM, DAB).
• Integrate audio controller solutions into vehicle systems with hardware/software teams and suppliers.
• Coordinate integration of audio controllers with other vehicle systems for optimal performance.
• Manage supplier through core design and release, including timelines, change control, DV/build support, and production support.
• Perform initial audio system issue triage using CAN tools and external ECUs.
