Job summary

Georgica Auto Holdings in New York is seeking an Automotive Assistant Service Manager to support the Service Manager in overseeing daily service department operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient workflow.

You will supervise service advisors and technicians, handle inquiries, schedule appointments, review repair orders, monitor performance metrics, promote services, maintain a safe, organized shop, and collaborate with parts and sales.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in an automotive service department with supervisory or lead experience.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid understanding of automotive repair and maintenance processes.
• Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and related software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Service Manager in supervising service advisors and technicians, providing guidance and training.
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Schedule service appointments and manage the service bay workflow to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Review repair orders for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper documentation and billing.
• Monitor service department performance metrics, including customer satisfaction, revenue, and repair times.
• Promote and sell automotive services, parts, and accessories to customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized service department environment.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as parts and sales, to optimize dealership operations.
• Step in for the Service Manager during their absence.
