Midas is seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, lead automotive technicians, and drive safety, efficiency, and profitability. This role fosters a collaborative, customer-focused atmosphere and provides growth toward a Store Manager position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of assistant management or supervisory experience in automotive service or related industries.
• General automotive knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair services.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with POS systems, computer applications, and internet-based tools.
• Leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing automotive and general service technicians in shop operations; recruit, hire, train, motivate, evaluate, schedule and coach.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by listening to and advising customers on vehicle needs.
• Follow up with customers on services, repair status, and estimates.
• Oversee vehicle inspections and prepare repair recommendations.
• Build repair orders and help source necessary parts.
• Present repair estimates and promote shop specials.
• Support Store Manager in achieving sales, productivity, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and environmental compliance in the shop.
• Monitor inventory and assist with cost control and payroll processing.
