Job summary

Sonaca North America is seeking an Assembly Production Supervisor to lead the sheet metal fabrication assembly area with emphasis on safety, quality, and throughput. You will report to the Production Manager and drive continuous improvement initiatives, LEAN projects, and standard operating practices.

Requires 5+ years of supervisory experience, aerospace knowledge, and ability to read blueprints. Responsibilities include planning schedules, coaching staff, and ensuring QA compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervisory experience in assembly sheet metal fabrication.
• Background in manufacturing environment.
• Aerospace industry knowledge.
• Ability to apply lean tools and principles.
• Must be able to read basic blueprints and understand specifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan department operations by reviewing production orders, schedules, and product data.
• Oversee day-to-day assembly department activities to meet safety, quality, and throughput goals.
• Prepare production schedules and coordinate activities to meet specifications and customer requirements.
• Review production reports, address issues, and drive cost reduction and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with QA procedures and regulatory/customer requirements.
• Coach and develop manufacturing personnel and promote cross-training.
