Job summary

Staffmark is hiring an Assembler in Coopersville, MI. You will assemble automotive components on the line using hand tools, power tools, and fixtures, following detailed instructions and safety rules. Pay rate is $17.00 per hour with various shift schedules.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and the ability to read blueprints or work orders. Prior automotive assembly experience is preferred, along with strong mechanical aptitude and careful attention to quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, blueprints, schematics, and safety procedures.
• Basic math and measurement skills preferred.
• Experience with automotive assembly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble automotive components and vehicle systems per specifications.
• Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly and production quality.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment to complete production tasks.
• Inspect parts and finished assemblies for defects, quality concerns, or non-conforming conditions.
• Report equipment malfunctions, production issues, safety concerns, and quality defects to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while complying with company policies and manufacturing standards.
• Meet daily production goals, quality requirements, and schedule expectations while working collaboratively with team members.
