Snelling Grand Rapids in Belmont, MI is seeking a Skilled Assembly Technician for a first‑shift, 40‑hour workweek. You will assemble and fabricate components per specifications using hand and power tools, read blueprints, and operate fabrication equipment.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. This role offers $18–$20 per hour, overtime as needed, weekly pay, and an immediate start after interview.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in skilled assembly, fabrication, or manufacturing preferred.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and written instructions.
• Experience operating industrial machinery and fabrication tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to complete a required drug screening.
• Desire for continued growth and learning.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fabricate components per specifications.
• Read blueprints and work instructions.
• Operate industrial machinery and fabrication equipment.
• Measure and cut extruded aluminum to specified lengths using a chop saw.
• Assemble steel components according to specifications.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears, and flame cutters.
• Cut, bend, grind, and adjust materials as needed.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and specification requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
