Job summary

Slate is seeking a Process Engineer for General Assembly at the Warsaw Manufacturing Site in the United States. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 12+ years automotive manufacturing experience.
• 8+ years with a Master’s degree; 5+ years with a PhD or equivalent.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ERP systems.
• Automotive OEM experience preferred.
• Experience with Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize processes for efficiency, cost, quality, and safety.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing, and kaizen implementation.
• Design plant layouts and optimize material flow and line ergonomics.
• Plan capacity, manpower, machines, and tooling for current and new programs.
• Support capital investment decisions and process validation for new launches.
• Monitor KPIs such as cycle time and OEE, driving waste reduction.
