Job summary

Flex-N-Gate in Urbana, IL is seeking a 1st shift Assembly Operator to build automotive bumpers and components following work instructions and quality standards. You will wash bumpers, retrieve materials, assemble parts, inspect quality, and move items through the line with rotation across cells to promote safety and efficiency.

The role requires lifting up to 63.5 pounds, standing on concrete, and working 8 hours with possible overtime. Overtime may extend shifts to 10-12 hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions; work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash bumpers on tables, stands, and floor racks.
• Retrieve bumpers and materials from racks and transport to stations.
• Assemble bumpers by attaching nuts, brackets, lights, wiring, and plastic components.
• Operate two-handed manipulators and hoists as assigned.
• Meet production standards (approx. 500 bumpers per 8-hour shift).
• Rotate between assembly positions roughly every 2 hours.
