Job summary

Sonic Automotive is seeking a qualified automotive technician to diagnose and repair vehicles to dealer and factory standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with parts, documenting work, road-testing, and supervising apprentices when needed.

Candidates should have ASE or equivalent training, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and be authorized to work in the USA. Attendance at factory trainings and adherence to safety policies are expected.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate high CSI performance in customer interactions.
• ASE or manufacturing training certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Authorization to work in the USA; able to pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders and perform repairs to dealer/factory standards.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Document work performed and road-test vehicles as required.
• Supervise apprentices as assigned and participate in factory training.
• Keep shop area clean and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
