Job summary

Sonic Automotive seeks a Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. The technician will supervise apprentices as assigned and must complete factory-sponsored training.

The role requires diagnosing issues, documenting work, and road-testing as needed. Candidates should have an ASE or manufacturing training background and a minimum of 2 years as a luxury vehicle technician with a valid driver's license and USA work authorization.

Qualifications

• ASE or manufacturing training required.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Luxury vehicle technician.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Must pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and license.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with accuracy.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction and perform repair.
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Notify service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is needed.
• Document work performed.
• Road-test vehicles when required.
• Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
