Job summary

Eberspaecher in Novi, Michigan seeks a Quality Engineer to support the startup of a new facility and the launch of a new vehicle program. You will lead process control, part measurements, and EPC planning while ensuring PPAP/PSO readiness and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in manufacturing engineering or QE roles for Tier 1 suppliers, with strong knowledge of APQP, FMEA, GD&T, and Lean principles. Travel domestically may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Quality or related field.
• 5–7 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering.
• 5+ years as QE/AQE for a Tier 1 automotive supplier.
• Experience with APQP, PSO, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, PPAP, MSA, inspection gauges, 8D problem solving, Lean Manufacturing.
• Hands-on IMD experience and knowledge of GD&T.
• Travel domestically by car or plane.

Responsibilities

• Provide QE/QA support for startup of a new facility and launch of a new vehicle program.
• Establish and maintain process control charts and documents; approve policy/procedure changes.
• Coordinate problem solving for internal and external concerns across programs.
• Develop and maintain product/process control plans and verification plans.
• Develop part measurement plan with GD&T and review dimensional inspection results.
• Identify and inspect customer and internal key characteristics.
• Ensure EPC plan is followed for all new products/processes.
• Review manufacturing processes for conformance and capability.
• Train associates on customer requirements, inspection methods, and defect recognition.
• Support submission of PPAP/PSO and related ENA program requirements.
• Participate in design of new inspection fixtures and gauge instruction sheets.
