Job summary

Purem by Eberspächer in Novi, MI, is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Engineer to support commissioning and launch of automated lines across US/Mexico plants. You will set up Robot-PLC interfaces, program Siemens S7/TIA, and drive Lean initiatives.

The role requires a technical degree, 5+ years in automotive, and willingness to travel up to 80%. You will collaborate with global teams, train plant personnel, and ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronics, Automation or related).
Minimum 5 years in the automotive industry.
Ability to read electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic prints.
Proficient with Siemens S7, TIA and Microsoft Office.
Experience with Motoman/Yaskawa robots and automated welding (SKS, Fronius).
Willing to travel domestically and internationally (up to 80%).
Fluent in English; Spanish/German a plus.

Responsibilities

Commissioning and launch support of automated production lines in US/Mexico plants.
Provide third-level support to production sites and respond to stop emergencies.
Set up and troubleshoot Robot-PLC interfaces.
Install and integrate new automation technologies and traceability systems.
Coordinate with global launch teams and ensure supplier adherence to standards.
Train plant personnel on PLC topics and control systems.
