Job Overview

Sheehy Auto Stores is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to join our team at Sheehy VW of Springfield. This role focuses on acquiring pre-owned vehicles directly from customers, streamlining the process for both the dealership and the seller. You will manage vehicle acquisitions through various lead sources, utilize data mining tools, and collaborate with sales managers to meet profit and customer satisfaction goals.

Responsibilities
  • Use data mining tools like Automotive Mastermind, vAuto Reports, and referrals to identify vehicle acquisition opportunities.
  • Engage with customers in person and over the phone about selling their vehicles.
  • Maintain regular communication with potential and current customers, schedule appraisals, and follow up promptly.
  • Make over 60 calls daily to prospective sellers.
  • Work with the Used Car Manager to align acquisition efforts with inventory needs.
  • Manage inquiries, run vehicle history reports, review vehicle conditions, and assist with appraisals and pricing.
  • Achieve monthly purchase quotas and participate in performance reviews and strategy meetings.
  • Provide excellent customer service with professionalism and attention to detail throughout the purchase process.
Minimum Requirements
  • Customer service or sales experience preferred but not required; sales training provided.
  • Ability to learn data mining tools and software.
  • Strong organizational, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Outgoing personality and team-oriented mindset.
  • Legal ability to work in the USA with a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
