Job summary

Sheehy Auto Stores in Maryland is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Full-time Accounting Clerk to support accounting operations across multiple dealerships. You will assist with daily accounting activities and manage various accounts and transactions.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, accurate, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume automotive environment. Automotive dealership experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting assistant experience.
• Automotive dealership experience preferred.
• Deal posting experience a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and reconciliations.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the U.S.
• Must successfully complete a background check, drug test, and MVR review.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Contracts in Transit and receivables
• Handle daily cash receipts and deposits
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (AP/AR)
• Post retail and wholesale vehicle transactions
• Process product billing and cancellations
• Complete dealer reserve reconciliations
• Complete floor-plan reconciliations
• Reconcile non-vehicle manufacturer statements
• Maintain and organize accounting records and documents
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
• Perform general accounting and administrative duties as needed
