Jim Norton Toyota of OKC is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory/Title Clerk to join our accounting team. This role maintains vehicle inventory records, processes purchases and sales including title work, and ensures all inventory transactions are recorded accurately and timely.

The ideal candidate is organized, enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment, and takes pride in accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive dealership accounting preferred.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Excel.
• Ability to verify invoices, titles, MSOs, and purchase documentation.
• Experience with general ledger posting and reconciliations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock in new and used vehicle inventory.
• Verify vehicle invoices, MSOs, titles, and purchase documentation.
• Process dealer trades and vehicle transfers.
• Reconcile vehicle inventory schedules and investigate discrepancies.
• Post vehicle purchases, sales, and inventory adjustments.
• Maintain floorplan records and assist with floorplan reconciliations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, and Title departments to ensure complete deal documentation.
• Assist with month-end inventory reconciliations.
• Review aging inventory and report exceptions.

Responsibilities

• Stock in new and used vehicle inventory
• Verify vehicle invoices, MSOs, titles, and purchase documentation
• Process dealer trades and vehicle transfers
• Reconcile vehicle inventory schedules and investigate discrepancies
• Post vehicle purchases, sales, and inventory adjustments
• Process factory invoices and incentives
• Maintain floorplan records and assist with floorplan reconciliations
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, and Title departments to ensure complete deal documentation
• Assist with month-end inventory reconciliations
• Review aging inventory and report exceptions
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical inventory files
• Prepare reports as requested by management
• Perform additional accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous automotive dealership accounting experience preferred
• Experience with CDK Drive is highly preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills
• Experience with general ledger posting and reconciliations
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
• High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting coursework is a plus

Physical Requirements

• The physical requirements of the position are LIGHT to MEDIUM in intensity.
• Must be able to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time.
• Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable necessary to drive vehicles safely.
• Constant - Reaching, sitting, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing.
• Frequent - Repetitive motion.
• Occasional - Balancing, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 20 lbs.

Physical Working Conditions

• This position is subject to inside and outside environmental working conditions including but not limited to temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, minor potential physical hazards as electrical, mechanical, and cleaning equipment, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with operating an auto dealership.
