Job summary

LGC is seeking a Production Technician II to independently construct and test automated laboratory equipment to specifications. You will work with production, service and engineering teams and apply labor standards, quality checks and process improvements.

The role requires reading CAD drawings, using measuring tools and Microsoft Office, and guiding less experienced staff. You will contribute to continuous improvement and ensure timely delivery of instruments to customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in manufacturing or industrial production.
• Experience in automated manufacturing or testing preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical tooling.
• Ability to read electrical meters.
• Familiarity with measuring and calibration devices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble modules and test automated laboratory equipment to specs.
• Set up instruments, power up, run quality checks and document results.
• Follow CAD drawings and build robust processes with improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, service, and material handling teams.
• Mentor junior staff and support continuous improvement.
