Job summary

LGC Group in Minnesota seeks a Production Technician II to independently assemble and test automated laboratory equipment to specifications and customer expectations for function, quality, and reliability. You will work across production, service, and engineering teams, applying CAD drawings and standard labor targets.

Responsibilities include module assembly, instrument setup, power-up, testing, quality checks, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial production.
• Experience in automated manufacturing or test environments preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and process improvement techniques.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical tooling; use of meters and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble modules, set up instruments, power-up, test, and perform quality checks to meet specs.
• Develop and follow work instructions, standardize processes, and support Kanban inventory.
• Collaborate with engineering, consumables, and materials handling teams for post-design builds.
• Identify improvements to increase efficiency, performance, and productivity.
• Provide guidance to less experienced staff and assist the service team as needed.
